A battle map is drawn on a grid of one-inch squares so that miniatures fit it. Draw the clearing, the ruin, the stream and the cover, then export a PDF that prints the map at its true size across A4 sheets.
Every sheet carries crop marks, a dashed line where the next sheet overlaps and its place in the grid, A1 to C3, so the table can be assembled in the order it was printed. The same map exports as one image at a hundred pixels a square for a virtual tabletop.
