Call of Cthulhu 7e rules summary — three A4 cheat sheets

Three pages that keep the session from stopping while somebody finds the right page: what gets rolled every round, how a character is made step by step, and the handful of rules that only come up once something has gone badly wrong.

Three pages, three moments

The core page stays on the table all evening: skill tests and their difficulty levels, bonus and penalty dice, pushing a roll, combat order, fighting back and dodging, damage and the major wound. Character creation is the session zero page, in the order a blank sheet is actually filled in. The advanced page is what gets looked up rather than remembered: temporary and indefinite insanity, bouts of madness, firearms, chases and spending Luck.

Written to be rewritten

Every entry is a heading and a body you can edit, so the summary bends to the way your table actually plays: drop the chase rules, spell out your ruling on pushing, add the one table everyone forgets. An accent colour of your choosing ties the three pages together.

A4 at 300 DPI, each page as a PNG or all three in one PDF. The wording is ours rather than the rulebook’s: this is unofficial fan material, not published, endorsed or approved by Chaosium, and the printed page carries that notice itself. Printing handouts says what to print it on so it survives a campaign.
