A picture on a screen is an illustration. The same picture with a border, a studio mark and somebody's handwriting on the back is evidence, and players turn it over to read the back before they have looked properly at the front.
The front carries your image, a caption and the studio's mark on the border. The back carries the studio imprint, a note written by hand and a stamp. The image is toned by the skin — sepia, black and white or faded colour — without touching the file you dropped in, and it never leaves your browser.
The 1920s skin is a sepia print on cream card with a deckled edge. Eastern Bloc is a hard black-and-white print on a thin matte border, stamped on the back. Instant is a square print on a white frame with a wide lower band written on in marker.
A6, 105 × 148 mm, at 300 DPI; export both pages and print them back to back. A face on an identity document belongs on an Identity Card.
