Invitations and their envelopes for tabletop RPGs

An invitation is the one handout that tells the players where to be, when, and what to wear, and it arrives before the adventure does. Somebody chose the guests. The question the table asks first is why they were among them.

A card and an envelope

Two A6 pages, 148 × 105 mm. The card carries the host, the words of the invitation, the event in large type, the date and time, the place, and at the foot the dress code and the reply. The envelope carries the addressee and the address, the sender in the corner, the postmark or a franking mark, and ink stamps you can move and turn, from a herald’s round stamp to a customs clearance.

A ball, a gala, a wedding, a dinner

Masquerade is a countess’s masked ball, gilt on black card, delivered by a herald. Orbital gala is a space station’s centennial, silver on a starfield, with a franking mark and a customs stamp on its sleeve. Wedding is a present-day wedding at a lake lodge on cotton card, the envelope addressed by hand. Dinner at the manor is a 1920s engraved card from the house on the hill above Kingsport, and its reply asks you not to come by the lower road.

Export either side as a PNG, or both as one PDF with 2 mm of bleed, and print them on card. A letter sent in the same envelope is a Message, and news that could not wait for the post is a Telegram.
